This is the second volume in the Wakefield boxed set. It was manufactured exclusively in Japan by 100 Guitar Mania. 600 copies were shipped from Japan to Teen-Beat and were included in the boxed set.

This is one of a few records licensed to 100 Guitar Mania from Teen-Beat.

SLEEVE NOTES

TeenBeat, really cool name. It's very simple to understand and imagine a lot of things. If I imagine from this TeenBeat's name.

1. Sandy Nelson's cool hit song in 1966 that with wild and primitive drum and guitar. Of cause Sandy Nelson's song was hit in Japan as well.

2. Japanese teenager's overseas music magazine in 1960's. I only saw this Teenbeat magazine of collectors shop that with Beach Boy's flexi. I don't know anything about thi smagazine, perhaps this magazine's readers were like my parents's aged people.

3. American surf label in 1960's that they released some surf/instrumental bands.

.......but when I asked in an interviewed where this label's name comes from, Mark said that the name TeenBeat comes from a trio of songs by the early 70's art rock band called Henry Cow, TeenBeat Intro, TeenBeat Reprise, etc. Henry Cow? I only knew their name but I haven't listen them before. At once I went to buy their cd and listen. This was not same as my TeenBeat's image, it's unexpectedly. I remind Henry Cow's member that collaborated with ex-Mott the Hoople's Morgan Ficher. Now Morgan Ficher's been living in Japan for a few years. I swa him by coincidence. He was wearing like Buddhist priest's everyday clothes even I, Japanese people don't want to wear it. I can't imagine that man was wearing keyboard's printed jacket before. This is totally unrelated to that.
