Common only to midwestern prairies I played in as a child with my sister. This song is for photographers Pat Graham, Mark Borthwick, and Blair Catherine Borthwick.

Turn Off the Century (grey)
play on the phrase turn of the century, which in turn is a reference to Bruce Naumann's use of puns as titles for his work.

Anorexic Colt Herd (fuschia)
Anorexic Coulter is the play on words. D.C. the day of September 11, 2001. Musical inspiration: Canned Heat.

Pollination (black)
Alternate title was "Huffers on Huffy's." "Redhead spots" is a nod to a female friend's freckles.

Love Flux Us (pink)
Sounds like "love fucks us." Feeling of empowerment via new love. The shine on your ellipsis sounds like the shine on your lips is these are interchangeable and work either way.

Watership Drown (white)
Possibility of death at sea.

Like Trees We Fall (orange)
Red + yellow = orange, is a metaphor for mating. 'like trees, we fall' an obvious death reference, but an allusion to Jenny Holzer's quote, "dying should be as easy as falling off a log."

Sychophants (green)
About a pretty, female musician's sychophants and her inability to "catch-on" or discern between her hanger-ons and her friends .

Human Beings Wow! (beige)
Stolen from a TV show title in Woody Allen's �Manhattan.' The duality of human thought and action around earth.

Imitation Sunshine (yellow)
Psychological detachment. Draining qualities of the suburban American environment, particularly in its minutia, e.g.: landscaping at gas stations, so-called "bigbox" stores etc.

Clockwork Orange Airplane (blue)
The title is a mash-up of the celebrated film and an obscure song title. Futuristic dystopia.
